Marlog 9 Conference Main Themes Update

Marlog 9 conference main theme  this year  focuses on the influence of the 4th Industrial revolution, a new phase in human development, on Port-City Integration, one of the WPSP aspects, as Port-Cities are becoming a great example in terms of progress, improvements and environmental development.

 
The conference highlights the relation between enhancing Port City integration (through applying 4th IR and recent innovative solutions)  and sustainability while covering, at the same time, all related aspects (environmental, social, safety and security, economics, data analytics, infrastructure, logistics ...etc.).

Marlog 9 has been listed in the Calendar of International Events of the IAPH

The International Maritime Transport and Logistics Conference "Marlon 9" has been listed  as an International Event at the Calendar of International Events   of the International Association of Ports & Harbors (IAPH).
Furthermore, The IAPH association participates in the conference this year as a greatly valued Co-organizer, as this is considered a great chance to discuss common issues and ways to improve mutual cooperation.

Well-being and protection measures for MARLOG9, 2020

In Observance of the annual Marlog conference in Alexandria, EGYPT, Health and safety of our guests and partners stands as our first and significant priorities.

Even though there are currently no constraints for travellers coming to EGYPT, in the implementation for Marlog9, 2020; MARLOG organizing committee is executing the appropriate procedures and protocols as recommended by the World Health Organization and other health authorities and consultants to encompass and mitigate against any extent of the Coronavirus and guarantee the conference remains hale and hearty and dynamic as usual for benefits and relationship building.

Moreover, we are working in cooperation with the Egyptian Health authorities and whoever is concerned to confirm a safe event for all Participants, including the following measures:

  • Sufficient stock of hand sanitizers and tissue packs to be presented for attendees at registration and all over the venue
  • An intensive disinfection and cleaning work all over the venue with attention on high-usage touchpoints including entries and exits accesses, stairways and other railings, elevator buttons, surface areas, public touch-screens, and food areas.
  • Aware and train all on-site staff regarding standard personal preventive measures, e.g. frequent use of sanitizing/disinfection products, etc.
  • Advice all exhibitors on implementing effective cleaning and disinfection exhibition areas, along with an emphasis on personal hygiene and cleanness measures and common preventive manners.
  • Responsive campaign to inspire safe on-site practice, for example, regular hand washing.

Furthermore, MARLOG organizing committee strongly urges participants to apply suitable procedures and protocols as proposed by the WHO and other health authorities in EGYPT.

Marlog 9 Conference Postponed

The organizing committee of the International Maritime Transport and Logistics Conference announces that the Marlog 9 Conference, which was due to be held on the 29th to 31st of March, is postponed following the current unfortunate events related to the Coronavirus Outbreak.

 
After careful consideration of the health and safety of our esteemed guests, speakers, partners and our team, we have made this hard decision of postponing the conference, also according to the instructions issued by the World Health Organization and the Egyptian Government as precautionary procedures to avoid the spread of the virus.
 
We understand the inconveniences this may cause and we will follow up directly with our dear guests, partners and exhibitors with all the latest updates and next steps.
 
We will announce the new date within the upcoming few weeks, and we hope to welcome you soon at the conference in Alexandria to be part of this remarkable event.

Full paper submission for the Marlog Conference is Re-opened

Based on the postponing of the International Maritime Transport and Logistics Conference due to the Coronavirus outbreak, The Marlog Conference Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that the papers' submission is re-opened according to the following new dates:

Full Paper Submission Deadline: 1st of August 2020
Full paper acceptance Notification: 15th of August  2020

The organizing committee encourages submissions from all interested speakers from all around the world.

The Organizing Committee would like to inform you that the conference will be held by next fall in September/ October, the exact date will be set within the upcoming few weeks.

Marlog 9 Conference Updates: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Outbreak

The spread of the Coronavirus caused far-reaching consequences for the whole world, most physical events (including Marlog 9) have been postponed according to the recommendations of the WHO organization to stop the spread of the virus.

As the health of Marlog 9 conference visitors, participants, speakers, and the Marlog team is our top priority, we will keep watching the development and evolvement of the situation closely and carefully, guided by the information provided by the Egyptian government and the World health organization, and take suitable actions accordingly.

However, we are still very busy working on preparing the upcoming Marlog 9 Conference and will keep you informed with the latest updates related to the conference's new dates.
