Located in Bremen and since 1997, Bremerhaven, the Institute develops on behalf of public and private sector project partners/customers, practical solutions based on innovative ideas and works in interdisciplinary teams on projects from all over the world. In its seven areas of competence, ISL offers, among other things, market analyses and forecasts, organizes application-oriented innovative funded projects related to maritime logistics, and develops, as well as integrates IT systems. The Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics was founded in Bremen in 1954 and has since become one of Europe's leading institutions for research, consultancy and know-how transfer in maritime logistics.

Inland Waterways International

IWI brings together people and organizations who support the conservation, use, development and proper management of inland waterways worldwide. It aims to raise public awareness of the benefits of using waterways for a wide range of activities, from inland water transport to cruising, towpath walking and other recreational uses, as well as appreciating their architectural and landscape values as heritage. It also promotes restoration, where appropriate, of waterways which have become derelict. Its membership includes leading navigation authorities, as well as voluntary bodies, museums and commercial companies. Individual members include both users and experts in the various disciplines.

MEDPorts Association

Created on June 27th, 2018 by 20 port authorities of the Mediterranean Basin, the MEDPorts Association now has almost 30 members from all shores of the Mediterranean representing 70% of cargo and 90% of passenger traffic handled in the Mediterranean Sea. Indeed, the MEDports Association aims at creating a new platform of ​​collaboration, production and exchange between the Mediterranean ports on common issues and is also promoting the international visibility of the Mediterranean maritime and ports area, a true connected and connecting platform between Asia, Africa and Europe."
