Program 1 – Alexandria, Saturday 11th of March, 2023

Tour Visits include:

  1. The Roman Amphitheatre.
  2. Catacombs & Pompay Pillars
  3. Citadel of Qaitbay
  4. Lunch with a view of the Eastern Port
  5. Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque
Time: 9:30 AM to 16:30 PM Departure/Return location Hilton Green Plaza

 

Kind Note: The tour includes a lot of walking, so participants may need to wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

  The Roman Amphitheatre

Alexandria, Egypt, is the heart of the Roman Culture and ancient Roman sites after the Reign of Alexander the Great who left his mark on this great port City with many Roman sites and Artifacts still remaining there such as the Roman Amphitheatre.

  Citadel of Qaitbay

The Citadel of Qaitbay is a 15th-century defensive fortress located on the Mediterranean sea coast, in Alexandria, Egypt. It was built from 1477 to 1479 AD by Sultan Qa'it Bay. The Qaitbay Citadel in Alexandria is considered one of the most important defensive strongholds, not only in Egypt, but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast

   Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque

The Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque is an Egyptian mosque in the city of Alexandria. It is dedicated to the 13th century Murcian Andalusi Sufi saint Abul Abbas al-Mursi, whose tomb it contains.

  Pompay Pillars

Pompey's Pillar is the name given to a Roman triumphal column in Alexandria, Egypt. Set up in honour of the Roman emperor Diocletian between 298–302 AD, the giant Corinthian column originally supported a colossal porphyry statue of the emperor in armour.

  2. The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization
  3. Lunch (Open Buffet) at Nile Pharaohs Cruising Restaurant
Time: 6:30 AM to 19:30 PM Departure/Return location Hilton Green Plaza or Airport (upon request)

  Pyramids & Sphinx

 The Sphinx is a monolith carved from the bedrock of the  plateau, which also served as the quarry for the pyramids and other monuments in the area.

  The National Museum of Egyptian  Civilization

 The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is a large museum in the ancient city of Fustat, now part of Cairo, Egypt. The museum displays a collection of 50,000 artifacts, presenting the Egyptian civilization from prehistoric times to the present day.

  Nile Cruising Restaurant

 A cruise along the Nile River is a must for visitors and the famous river is even more spectacular. Set sail on a 2-hour cruise, tuck into a delicious buffet lunch on-board, and be entertained by live music, and a traditional Tanura show.
