1- Alexandria - Pearl of the Med. Tour (Saturday, 12th of June)

Alexandria is a Mediterranean port-city and the second largest city in Egypt, it has a very impressive and storied past, beginning with its founding by Alexander the Great around 331 B.C. Nicknamed the Pearl of the Mediterranean and affectionately referred to as Alex by locals.
The Tour explores some of Alexandria most famous places, which includes:

  1. Alexandria Port Authority.
  2. Alexandria National Museum.
  3. The Roman Amphitheater
  4. Citadel of Qaitbay
  5. Lunch at the Greek Marine Club
Time: 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM Departure/Return Location: Hilton Green Plaza Hotel
Tour Fees: Foreigners: 75$
Egyptians: 750 EGP
Notes: The tour includes a lot of walking, so participants may need to wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

2- Conference Reception (Saturday, 12th of June) – 08:00 PM

The Conference Reception is taking place at the reception area of Alzahra Hall at the Hilton Green Plaza hotel. It is a great chance to meet the conference main figures before the conference.

3- First Day Gala Dinner (Sunday, 13th of June) - 8:00 PM

 

The First Day Gala Dinner is taking place in the Hilton Green Plaza hotel.

Time: 8:00 PM – 10:30 PM Location: Hilton Green Plaza Hotel – Pool Area
Dinner Fees: Free of Charge Dress Code: Business Casual, In June, the average temperature never dips any lower than 20°C (about 68°F) at night.

4- The Giza Pyramids & Treasures of Saqqara Tour (Wednesday, 16th of June)

 

When many travelers think about the pyramids of Egypt, the first thing that comes to mind is the Giza's famed monuments, but there's another group of pyramids lies in the Necropolis Site of Saqqara that is considered one of several other notable necropolis sites near Cairo which offer impressive sights and hold great archaeological significance. In fact, Saqqara may be even more interesting than Giza, as it contains lot of the magnificent reminders of the early architecture of the pharaohs and some of the Old Kingdom's most dazzling treasures.

  1. The Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx.
  2. The Step Pyramid & Djoser Complex
  3. The Pyramid of Unas
  4. the Mastaba of Kagemni and other Tombs in the area.
  5. Pyramids' texts of TITI
  6. The Imphoteb Museum
  7. Lunch on the Great Nile River
