The International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) was formed in 1955 and over the last sixty years has grown into a global alliance representing over 180 members ports and 140 port related businesses in 90 countries. The principal aim of IAPH revolves around promotion of the interests of Ports worldwide, building strong member relationships and sharing best practices among our members. MEDPorts Association:
The first General Assembly that sanctioned the creation of the MEDPorts Association gathered at the port of Marseille on Wednesday 27 June. The initiative has been sponsored by the port of Marseille since 2016 through the first MEDPorts Forum and it is finally embodied with the formal establishment of the Association.

IWI brings together people and organizations
who support the conservation, use, development and proper management of inland waterways worldwide. It aims to raise public awareness of the benefits of using waterways for a wide range of activities, from inland water transport to cruising, towpath walking and other recreational uses, as well as appreciating their architectural and landscape values as heritage. It also promotes restoration, where appropriate, of waterways which have become derelict. Its membership includes leading navigation authorities, as well as voluntary bodies, museums and commercial companies. Individual members include both users and experts in the various disciplines.
